CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

+  All Youth Confirmation Students are invited to an Orientation on Sunday, Aug. 26, 11:00am OR on Wed., Sept. 5 at 6:30pm to receive information and schedules for the 2007-2008 classes. Classes begin on Wed., Sept. 12, 4:00-5:30pm.

+  The Sunday noon Small Group Bible Study experienced such spiritual growth through the "Experiencing God" study last spring that we feel compelled to share the opportunity with as many others as possible. We plan to sponsor one or more classes this fall beginning September 23rd. Please read the bulletin insert for a personal statement.

SUNDAY AT REDEMPTION: August 5, 2007

+  A hearing assistance personal listening system for the hearing impaired (to help overcome background noise and poor acoustics) will be dedicated today. People suffering from hearing loss have a hard time distinguishing the speaker’s message from background noise and other distractions. When a listener turns up their hearing aid, that only succeeds in amplifying other unwanted sounds in the room, often causing frustration for those trying to listen to the service. With the newly purchased PPA 375 system that connects directly to the church’s existing sound system, listeners use a wireless receiver and earphone to listen to the service at the volume of their comfort level. They are free to sit anywhere in the sanctuary. The speaker’s message is delivered right into their earphones for easy listening. A receiver is available from the attendant in the Sound Room and should be returned to an usher or the Sound Room following the service.
